About Us

With 16 years of nursing experience and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Joanna brings a depth of clinical expertise to Luna Med Spa that is rare in medical aesthetics. Her career began in acute mental health nursing at the hospital level, an environment that demands exceptional communication, emotional intelligence, and the ability to build trust with people who are often at their most vulnerable. She later transitioned into community nursing and case management, where she honed her ability to advocate for patients, work independently, and deliver individualized care with compassion and precision.

It was this foundation, not a shortcut, that led Joanna to medical aesthetics. She is trained in a comprehensive range of treatments including neuromodulators, dermal fillers, biostimulators, PRP, PRF, lipolysis, medical-grade chemical peels, and sclerotherapy, making her one of the few injectors in the Burlington area with advanced training across both facial aesthetics and leg vein treatments.

Joanna sees medical aesthetics as the intersection of clinical science and personal expression. Her approach is grounded in patient safety and honest consultation first, she will always tell you what she genuinely recommends, not simply what you ask for. Clients consistently describe her as thorough, calm, and easy to talk to, whether they're coming in for their first treatment or managing an ongoing concern.

Vijeta is our Medical Director and Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (NP-PHC) with a Masters of Science in Nursing. She has over 8 years of clinical expertise in aesthetics, dermatology, organ transplant and family medicine. She has also offered post-graduate education at the university level as a Professor for nursing programs.

Vijeta trained and practised at many medical spas and continued her education to refine her injecting techniques. She trained extensively in medical aesthetics at the Canadian Board of Aesthetic Medicine (CBAM), MINT Threads™, and several other international colleges.
