SCLEROTHERAPY
Varicose veins are not thought to be a major medical condition. However, they can be uncomfortable and can lead to more serious complications.
Varicose veins and spider veins are typically treated using sclerotherapy. This non-surgical method involves injecting a mild sclerosing solution to cause the small blood vessels to constrict. The vein eventually disappears and is reabsorbed into the affected tissue.
The size, quantity, and location of the varicose veins determine how many veins are injected during a single session. You may need several sessions of sclerotherapy if you have several varicose or spider veins that need to be treated.
