It can hold one thousand times its weight in water as it is a water-binding molecule. The body contains a substantial amount of naturally occurring hyaluronic acid, which is primarily present in the skin.
 
The amount of hyaluronic acid in our skin decreases as we get older, causing our skin to lose volume, causing wrinkles. You can repair volume loss in the skin by injecting hyaluronic acid dermal fillers directly into it for a more youthful appearance. Hyaluronic acid dermal filler treatment typically lasts 6-12 months after injection.
